Technology has never moved at a faster pace.  The breakneck pace at which innovation continues to drive transformation.  Because it is not cost effective to continue to install the latest and greatest every year, organizations are left scrambling to not only stay in front of the trends, but find the most cost effective means do so and their teams need to be prepared and stay agile, while thinking about the future needs of their data centers.

This year, our annual Technology Update will focus on not only what the innovations driving trends are, but we'll hear from industry experts about what technology transformation looks like with the advancement in hybrid cloud technology and the onset of data being used as a resource.  We’ll close out the morning session with an exciting presentation from Futurist, Alex Salkever.  As a well-regarded futurist and author, who will give his engaging take on where our digitally connected world is going. 

Our morning sessions will not disappoint with presentations on a variety of topics about business technologies and the afternoon activities include some networking and golf.

Alex Salkever is the best-selling author of “The Driver in the Driverless Car: How Our Technology Choices Will Shape the Future,” a finalist for the 2017 Financial Times / McKinsey Book of the Year Award.  He was previously technology the editor of BusinessWeek.com, covering the Dot-Com Boom and subsequent bust and later worked as a senior marketing executive at a broad variety of technology companies, most recently at Mozilla, the maker of the Firefox browser where he served as Vice President of Marketing.
 
His most recent book, "Your Happiness Was Hacked:  Why Tech Is Winning The War To Control Your Brain And How To Fight Back", was also praised by a variety of top publications including Wired Magazine, and by leading figures, including happiness expert Gretchen Rubin and prominent wellness expert  Dean Ornish.

Peter Beniaris is an information technology and financial services professional with diversified experience in public and private sectors, including education, government, insurance, manufacturing, retail, and chemical sectors. He has a Master of Science in Computer Science from De Paul University in Chicago, and is also a Red Hat Certified Engineer, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Information Systems Auditor. Peter currently works for Red Hat where he manages a team of Solution Architects in the Upper Midwest.
